The school has five research centers, five municipal key laboratories, four municipal engineering laboratories, and the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and System, Shenzhen is currently under construction. 2013-2017, the school has been responsible for a constantly increasing number of national research projects, including more than 50 projects supported by the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the average research funding received over forty million RMB. Moreover, the school has obtained various awards,  including 1 National Natural Science Award, 1 National Technology Invention Award, 2 Science Technology Awards in Guangdong, and 1 Natural Science Award in Shenzhen. In the past four years, more than 600 articles have been published, including about 180 SCI papers. School have authorized more than 40 patents and published 3 academic books.

Electrical Engineering :
